BulletBloom
A downloadable game for Windows
BulletBloom is a game about making your way through waves of enemies in a procedurally generated cave where enemies found ways to disguise themselves through various post processing.
All object, material & post processing shakes, subtle movements and almost all animations are made with my custom Unity tool: Smooth Shake Pro.
I wanted to challenge myself to do something interesting with custom post-processing that would affect more than just the look of the game. That's when I came up with the idea of only viewing enemies through post-processing.
There's a lot more I wanted to achieve with this idea but for the time and resources I had, I'm quite satisfied!
Due to time constraints there are some unsolved issues:
- No win screen
- Play button doesn't work after game over
- Lower framerate during later waves
- Not more than 5 waves
Potentially in the future after the game jam
- Light orb behaviours (for example: they help shooting)
- Weapon types & upgrades
The level & objectives are procedurally generated and change every time you start the game.
The game is made in Unity URP 2022.
A solo project made for the Acerola jam 0.

Amazing design. This is gorgeous, with really fun game play. Full marks!
The idea, while shallow, is kinda neat, though I do think in the future the effects could be replicated in non-PP ways for performance or preference reasons.
I liked the style, that's kinda about it, good work Mardt.
